Drawn to the darkness

being a night owl and having chronic conditions like migraine, among others.

The twisted hand in the picture I can only do because I^m on the spectrum of hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos-Syndrome, a genetic connective tissue disorder.
My life got overshadowed experiencing many losses of loved ones. Additionally, health-related losses taking away life quality. I was lost in a tiring fight to get that health back from before. Not wanting to accept that I can’t win. The conditions are not fatal, but life-long present.
In creating art with my grim reaper character, a pinch of humour taking away the heaviness of grief and fear, I put on a mask of “I’m fine”.
But I am not.
And so, I finally faced my “dark side”. Radically accepting the new frame of my body’s possibilities and gently stretching the frame whenever it feels safe to do so.

That I’m a metal-music afficionado since I was young, might portray in some of my art. Of course, anyone wanting to purchase it, is welcome, you don’t have to share my music taste 😊
